Sandra (Sandie) Scafani Nardozzi is a well-known spinner and weaver in Bath, Maine. Sandie, a Berkeley-graduated art major, became intested in fiber when she and her husband moved to Maine. Since then she has become an accomplished and award-winning Fiber Artist. She purchases raw fleeces from sheep farmers, washes them, combs them, dyes them (with all natural dyes), and then spins the wool. She then weaves and knits her handspun wool into various articles.

Sandie is a member of the Northeast Hand Spinners and the Maine Spinners Registry. She was selected to spin at the Maine Governor's Mansion on Distaff Day and was one of a group of artists selected from each state to contribute a hand-made ornament for the White House Christmas Tree during the Clinton Administration.

Sandie and her husband have visited Scotland and investigated both his Scottish MacLea family and the wool industry there.

?Mark Nardozzi is her step-son.
